Kanak Dining Hall Abu Reviews
Great food, cheap, excellent service Feb 07, 2011
Located very near the bus station, this has to be one of the best eating places in Mount Abu. It is a good mixture of the touristy place (it's mentioned in the guide books, so get qquite a few tourists) but one that serves up excellent Indian food. They serve an extensive range of dishes from the Rajasthan and Gujarat areas of India, as well as dishes that are associated with the south of India.
I went here a few times and recommend two dishes in particular:
1. Gujarati thali - ok it's not a dish, more of a huge plate with different dishes. Just look at the pics and you should be convinced the quality and quantity are excellent. The spices were nicely done, and they give free unlimited refills, so come hungry.
2. Pao Bhaji - very good quality and they do ask if you want it cooked with butter or oil. Very cheap and filling dish.
The prices were good for what you get, the service was efficient and polite, and there is ample dining space inside.
I was really impressed with this place, and fail to see how any other diner wouldn't feel the same way.
