I had always walked past this Cafe and always wondered about it, but never eaten there My friend was craving Mediterranean food so we decided to try it out. I found out later that it's a Palestinian restaurant, which I was actually wondering about because there were several items on the menu that did not look familiar to me, which I thought was interesting because I eat Mediterranean food all the time. I wish I remembered the name of what I ordered- it was incredibly good. It was a mixture of rice, lentils and tahini sauce. Yum... I get hungry all over again just thinking about it. My friend ordered the Mediterranean plate and really liked it but she said that the tabouleh was a little bit too acidic. Everything else was really good, though.
They also have hookahs and belly dancers here, but we were there pretty early so we didn't really stay around for that.
Anyway... this place is cool so you should check it out if you happen to be on Haight Street.
