Kampung Baru is one of the most valuable tracts of land in the capital and is estimated to be worth up to US$1.4 billion. But so far Kampung Baru elders have turned developers away, saying they want to preserve their ethnic Malay lifestyle. "Kampung" in English is village. This village located in Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan City.

The best in here have a lot of restaurants which is serve either local food and western food with a lower cost of price. All the restaurants are open everyday but the most peak time with a crowded people is on Saturday night which is "Night Market" start open from 6 p.m to 9 or 10 p.m.. Most of Malaysian people called "Night Market" is "Pasar Malam".

The best in "Pasar Malam Kampung Baru" or "Kampung Baru Night Market" are all about the food. Here you can find variety of local food such as "Char Kuey Teow" (made from noodles) which is famous among Chinese in Malaysia, "Putu Bamboo", "Yong Tau Foo", "Satay" and etc. This is the most recommendation places from to all of Travelbuddy because night market in Malaysia is best that can define every ethnic in Malaysia.

How to reach there :

1) Take Putra LRT (e.g. from KLCC) to Kampung Baru station; or

2) Monorail to Medan Tuanku station (5 minutes walk from there)

or

3) 30 minutes walk from Bukit Bintang or if you take Taxi or cab is cost between RM5 to RM10.
