Kampong Kdei Old Bridge Reviews
12th century old bridge May 30, 2012
This bridge was part of the Cambodia tour that Karena and I were doing and I thought it would be worthwhile to see it.
The bridge is located right off the National Highway 6, so not much a detour from traveling to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh or vice versa.
But is it worth a stop? Well, if you like bridges and the fact that this is from the 12th century, then it would be worth a quick stop. It's about 85 meters long, 14 meters wide and the same number in height. It also has 22 spans.
People on foot, riding bikes or motorcycles are allowed to cross the bridge. Cars, trucks and other heavy vehicles are not allowed due to the danger of the bridge collapsing.
Most likely you'll see this bridge as part of your tour or when it really peeks your interest.
