Kampala is the capital city of Uganda. With a population of 1,208,544 (2002), it is the largest city in Uganda. It is located in the district of Kampala.
Kampala is a very populated city with not so good roads. The recent visit of the Queen caused the government to work on some of the feeder roads including Entebbe-Kampala highway. Most every one speaks English since it is the national language. People are vey friendly and helpful. Most international foods are served at restaurants, international hotel chains like Sheraton and Serena exist, transportation includes self drive, public transport and taxis. Kampala has many international chain hotels, and great restaurants. People are very hospitable and friendly. Kampala is said to be located on seven major hills, but if you are there you find it has over 21 hills all very beautifully green. Some of these hills include Kololo, Kibuli, Kasubi, Nakasero, Mengo, Naguru, Ntinda, Namirembe, Rubaga, Muyenga, Nsambya and many others. Kampala is home to the famous Makerere University - Africa's finest institution of higer learning and is also the head quarters of the East African development bank

Last year on my birthday, I received a card from my daughter in London. Saturday. Kwanjula it turns out is the ceremony that is performed when
the man goes the woman's home to ask for her hand in marriage –
basically an engagement ceremony. I never got any message from that
hoax Lau that he was getting engaged so you can imagine the shock when
Silvia his sis tells me to head there for his Kwanjula.
