Kaibab Lodge Travel Reviews

Aug 09, 2005
Well, normally I only write about those places where I have a good overall experience. This is review does not fall under this patterns. The hotel is ok but I have to strongly complaint about the people running it. We did not know until what time we could have dinner so we got there just in time for it. We asked before getting in and they told us they were about to close but we could go in. Then, as typical european, we ordered a bottle of wine and a good dinner, we did not watch about how much it was. Then what surprised the is that in 25 minutes, the person in charge came to us saying that we had to go, time to close. I started an ugly argument with this person and she had no respect. Very rood, the worst service I had during the whole trip. But the hotel is not bad, it is an a good location and quite close from the North Rim. Anyways, if you have the chance, stay in the national park´s hotel. I believe the agency tried to get a room there but there were no vacancies. Again, try to book in advance. It seems to be that everything gets full in no time.

The site that Phantom Ranch is on used by Native Americans; pit houses and a ceremonial kiva dating from about 1050 AD have been...
paddle6climb14 says: This hotel is equally priced as surrounding hotels. If you are in the South Rim Grand Canyon area, there aren't many other choices. Book early. I was here in February and many hotels were full. It has a small hot tub and weight room for the size of hotel. My first room looked like the bathroom ...
