The largest community on the island, Kahului lies on the north shore of central Maui. Kahului hosts Maui's main airport (Kahului Airport), deep-draft harbor, light industrial areas, and commercial shopping centers. Kahului is the retail center for Maui residents.
Kahului is not generally considered a tourist destination, but does feature the Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum, Kanaha Pond State Wildlife Sanctuary, Kanaha Beach County Park, and the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.

This is my 3rd trip to Hawaii. however, the last two are in an 35mm camera. it's gonna take forever to scan. the first 2 trips were the big island 2001 and Oahu 1993. this 3rd trip was my cousin's wedding in Kauai. after that , mum and i took a side trip to Maui. i also went skydiving in kauai. unfortunately, i only bought the video.
