Hands-down this is the most beautiful and luxurious resort I've ever experienced. Previously, my two favorite 5 Star Resorts I've stayed at were The Bellagio and Venetian in Las Vegas, both of which were amazing... but the Kahala Resort is even more incredibly awesome and beautiful!!

Let me just start out by saying that the location is PERFECT!! You are just on the other side of Diamond Head (extinct volcano crater) that separates you from the craziness of Waikiki... so it is extremely relaxing and peaceful, yet you are still only 5 minutes to the adventures Waikiki has to offer. There is a nearly private beach that is so gorgeous and even a mini off-shore island you can go relax on.

I can't go any further without mentioning that the Kahala Resort is home to 6 gregarious, entertaining and amazing Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in the Dolphin Quest Oahu habitat!! Having actually worked as a dolphin trainer myself (at a facility in San Diego, USA), I had arranged to participate in a "trainer exchange" (which allows professionals in the field to work with other experts to gain and share information for the benefit of the animals, staff and guests). I have seen over 30 marine zoological facilities and was extremely impressed by everything about Dolphin Quest Oahu! The dolphins are cared for by some of the most amazing marine mammal trainers I have ever met, and education and guest service specialists are on hand to answer any questions you may have about the animals, habitat or swim with the dolphin programs. Yes, that's right... you can sign up for different levels of programs to interact with these awesome marine animals! The programs are an additional fee but you can still view the dolphins in their natural habitat lagoons 24/7 and what is more beautiful than that?!

Now on to the ROOM... again, this is the most luxurious room I've ever stayed in!! Large/spacious suite, views of the ocean/beach and golf course (several other views to choose from as well), stunningly beautiful furniture and decor are only some of the features of the Kahala Resort's luxurious comfortable rooms! Not to mention laying in the bed was like heaven on earth and provided the best night's sleep before by early morning with the dolphins!

To summarize, if you are looking for a stunningly beautiful, extremely comfortable, posh resort with excellent guest service on one of the most amazing beaches and locations in Hawaii, this is the place for you!!! While the rooms at this amazing resort are expensive, the old saying "you get what you pay for" definitely applies here... and more! After staying here, I would never consider staying at another resort on Oahu again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!
