Kafka Museum
Kafka Museum Reviews
Karka Museum Nov 06, 2009
Amazing presentation of documents and photos that give Kafka's life meaning and multimedia demonstrations that evoke the emotions that Kafka sought to create in readers. This is a truly outstanding venue that is a treasure for anyone who, as I was, read and was influenced by Kafka's works. It is also one of the outstanding attractions in Prague, which certainly does not lack for beauty and interest.

Very interesting insight May 23, 2009
It's pretty easy to find, from the Charles Bridge - outside the museum you will also find two male (you'll see why) statues and a water feature!
It's 120K to get in, which is pretty reasonable. I had some limited knowledge about Franz Kafka, so visiting the museum was an eye-opener. There's lots of information about his family, his dominating father, his work-life and his writing/drawing. There are some good exhibits about some of his works, like The Castle. Shame I can't read German - as quite a lot of the written material is in German. Part of the Prague 2009 travel blog |

Nicholas Church followed by a visit to the Franz Kafka museum. After the Kafka museum, it was time for yet another food/drink stop. The day's wanderings ended with an unplanned stop at an exhibition of the Codex Gigas. I had never heard of the Codex Gigas, and after seeing it I'm still… 3 days in Prague |

We went back to the Charles Bridge and headed over it to the Franz Kafka Museum. It was an experience to say the least and very weird. This guy was anti social and in my point of view a complete mental case. The museum consisted of passages he wrote, diary entries, info of his life, drawings… Prague, Czech Republic- Day 2 |

…castle and decided to just do that during the daylight rather than attempt to hunt down the english men pissing statue infront of the kafka museum (I figured this out later, otherwise I would have found it on my own). Anyway, we went into the prague cathedral in the castle grounds, this marvellous building that I wouldn't normally be caught dead in since I have been having… Prague |

I trekked through the increasing amounts of rain to
the Kafka Museum, which was very long, but a very modern, interesting,
well taken care of establishment. Another recommendation to prospective
Prague visitors. Quite informative. Interactive. Refreshingly full of
written English. Inspired me to write, in general (what else is
new...). He wrote a lot about… Bagel Shop, Petrin Hill, Carmen... a really incredible day |
