Kafé Signes Basse-Terre Reviews
Nice concept and a calm corner of the harbor Apr 27, 2012
We almost passed Basse-Terre but decided to have a cold beer at the little sailboat harbor just before we left the city. We had been looking for a place and spotted one on the harbor it self. The place was colorful and all the walls of it had been hand painted in magnificent drawings on a warm wonderful orange toned yellow base.
There were not that many people sitting there when we arrived; the ones who were there were eating but we were only there for a beer. It turned out that place was run by an organization that helped people with hearing problem to get work training and therefore the café was named Kafé Signes.
The girl that served us was very sweet and we managed to get our ordered placed so we could enjoy the calm of the little harbor. I also ended up tasting their ice cream, which was great too.
