Kaanapali Beach

Kaanapali Beach is the best beach on Maui if you want to just spend a day laying in the sun and swimming. The Whaler Shopping Center is here and is a great place too if you are taking any ladies. :) There are no waves for surfing here though. It is calm and was voted the best beach in the world several times, because of the perfect sand, view, etc. Black Rock is located on Kaanapali Beach. People jump off the rock, and there are some pretty cool fish to look there at if you like snorkeling.

It's only about 10 min from Lahaina town. While I am mentioning Lahaina town, make sure you cruise the strip in Lahaina town on Friday night art nights. They have amazing art galleries and most the artists come down and work in the open for everyone to see. Most the galleries serve free wine too if you act interested enough in the art. haha..just a tip. Eat at the Cheeseburger in Paradise right on the ocean for the best dining that isn't overpriced!

Just North of Kaanapali is where I actually lived in Honokawai. I lived on Lower Honoapiilani Road. I miss saying that to people. :) Blow my studio a kiss for me if you go there. It's Sunset Terrace Apts right behind Bad Ass Coffee. If you want to live in Maui, these apartments were really great. I've never met so many friends just from my neighbors.
