KK Budget Hotel & Cafe Georgetown Reviews

This was the first hotel we came across when we got off the bus. They were kind of pushy when we were walking past which makes me a bit nervous. However, we went in to see a room. First they showed us a non air-con dorm room then a private air-con twin room, which we took. I didn't feel the most comfortable with staying here, but I went along with it. There was no one else around and I asked them if there were any people staying, of course they said they were fully booked. (What guest house owner would say different?) When we were booking in I noticed that they have rooms available for "the first two hours" which made me more nervous.
The walls seemed to be like temporary walls, almost like a cubical wall.
There was an Indian wedding staying at the hotel and there was a lot of noise throughout the night with that as well as many other people coming in at late hours. Lucky for me I had headphones that I put on the block out the sound.
The bathroom left a lot to be desired. There isn't any hot water and no hooks to hang your clothes while you shower. No toilet paper, but that is common in many Asian countries.
The people were slightly helpful when asking for directions, but they don't have any maps.
The beds were really hard as well as the pillows.
I wouldn't recommend you stay here, I can't speak for any of the other guest houses, but in retrospect I would look for a traveler's guest house where there are more backpackers such as myself.
