Gas is not cheap in Kauai, but I highly recommend getting a map, a rental car or jeep, and DRIVE. Take back roads, look for local signs (got a traditional Hawaiian outfit) and go see the hidden falls, the hidden pools, etc. Fern Grotto is awesome, there is food everywhere, and two main roads. You cant really get lost, if you hit water, turn left or right. You can ask directions, the Aloha spirit is true there. If you get the chance, take a Na Pali Coast cruise, its worth every penny, especially when the whales are out to play.

We liked our trip so much last year we decided to go to Kauai for our aniversity. A lot of the things as driving around, looking at people,beaches ect were similar to last year and I will not talk about these on this entry.

Ok here is the deal. This is not meant by any means to make any Hawaiians mad. I am afterall a resident of these beautiful islands. However one could be fooled by what the state bird is. If you Google "Hawaii State Bird" it r…driving on a deserted country road, stopped at a stop light or just observing one of the many waterfalls but you could count on one thing.... Chickens. Anyways it was kind of cool to see the wild chickens roaming everywhere. Plus it was funny… Wailua Falls |

What a pretty sight out of the plane window. I remember the woman
who was sitting in front of me saying, "This is as green as Ireland",
I have never been to Ireland, but I have heard it referred to as the Emerald
Isle, so I can only imagine how g…drive from one end of the island to the other one day, stoped at Waimea
canyon, Hawaii's own little version of the Grand Canyon. It may be smaller, however
it is every bit as beautiful. We also took a little boat trip up the Wailua… Peaceful Kauai |

Well I forgot all about my blogging here which is why I liked this site in the first place. So over a month later I'm going to try my best to remember my trip. My memory only covers bits and pieces most of the time, hence the reason I wanted …driving around different places and settling in for the first couple of days. Drove up and around the north shore and watched the surfers. Even caught the sunset on sunset beach. After that I check myself into the Beachside Hostel in Waikiki. A couple… Hawaii! Great starting point isn't it. |

Hawaii is a great place to live in. A lot of people tell me that I'm really lucky to experience paradise every day. One of the great things about Hawaii is that it is made up of different islands. They each have their own unique appeal. Some of the …drive up to see Waimea Canyon. This is also located on the West side of the island.
