Juraj´s hostel is the best hostel I ve ever been. At the beginning you think that it´s the hostel from the horror HOSTEL. A strange guy offers to come for you wherever you are, gives you a suspect cheap price and brings you to a strange building with pending title "hostel".

Juraj is a slovak traveller who is not very professional in the accomodation services but very human, kind and helpful. Thans to him you will feel like a local for some days. And that´s maybe better than a professional hotel service, right?

Yes, you will fel like staying at some friend´s house. There is a cool atmosphere, the place is calm and sunny and there are 6 little rabbits in the garden ;-)

more like a home than a hostel Sep 24, 2007
I have stayed at 4 different places in Bratislava over the years, but this is the one I will definitely return to next time. It's very small, there are only ten beds, so it's wise to make a reservation for this place.

Staying at Juraj's hostel really is more like staying at a friend's place than a real hostel, except that you have to pay for it. Juraj will come and pick you up from the train station, do your laundry and sell you beer at a very low price.

You pay the same for your own room as for a bed in a dorm room. There is a kitchen, and internet access is free. You can sit and drink outside in the courtyard, which is shared with the neighbours.

The hostel is close to the train station and walking distance from the old town - the closest of all the places I've stayed at.
