Nice beach Apr 17, 2013
the beach is nice and clean, but pretty much like any other beach.

whats nice is that in front of the beach theres this long street with shops and restaurants and small stands that sell things...its nice to have a walk on that street and just look around and enjoy. It's situated near thr burj al arab, which gives a nice view to look at. Personally, I prefer Mamzar as the best beach in Dubai but there are many who love this beach too, and it is more central than that of Mamzar beach to most hotels and malls. Spend a couple of hours there and enjoy.

A clean and cheap place to relax Oct 05, 2011
Jumeirah Beach Park is located on Al-Jumeirah Rd, between Jumeirah public beach and Jumeirah Women´s Club. Admission is 5 Dhs ($1,35), which gives you access to the park and the beach. It´s a lovely park with a playground, a desert garden, BBQ, picnic tables, three fast food restaurants and one coffee shop. Prices there are cheap (eg sandwiches 8 Dhs, burgers 14 Dhs, double burger 21 Dhs and grilled salmon 40 Dhs).

The long stretch of beach is clean, lined with date palms and lifeguards are on duty. You can rent sun beds (15 Dhs), large parasol (10 Dhs), small parasol (5 Dhs) and towels (5 Dhs each). There are several changing rooms and toilets along the beach, but remember tissue, there is no toilet paper! There are also several fresh water showers along the beach. The sea water is low in the morning, but the tide comes in around noon, so don´t set up your “camp” too close to the water. The water also gets deep very quickly.

And for the boys, Mondays are women only day. All the staff, from the ticket office, to the fast food restaurants and the lifeguards were women only. The service was a bit lower than the rest of the week. Only one of the three lifeguard towers was manned. To me it looked a bit ridiculous to see that the lifeguard was wearing an ankle length dress. Would like to see her get in the water! No one would help you with the sun beds and parasols either - you had to pick them up and drag them across the beach yourself.

If your hotel is not located at the beach, Jumeirah Beach Park is a great option. It´s cheap, clean and comfortable. If you do like more comfort, women can try next door at the Jumeirah Women´s Club, but this will set you back 175 Dhs ($48) and it will only give you access to the pool and the beach.

How to get there: Taxi, bus no 8 or 20 or in your own car (DHS 20 pr car). The Park is open 8 am - 10:30 pm (Saturday – Wednesday) and 8 am – 11:30 pm (Thursday – Friday).

Dubai - Day 2
The next morning I awake at 8am. I take a hot shower due to lack of cold water. Then I survive breakfast without suffocating and step outside into the heat again. My first stop for today is…Jumeirah Beach Park is one of the few public beaches in Dubai. Public meaning that it does not belong to one of the hotels…
