Jumaboy Homestay Noffin Reviews
Jumaboy Homestay great place, great host Jun 12, 2012
This was the first homestay we stayed in in Tajikistan, and the first one we stayed at on our trip to the seven Lakes. The village it is placed in is called Noffin. We had booked our tour through ZDTA in Penjikent, and they arranged all our accommodation for this leg of our trip. Cost is $12pp a night and there were two of us. Rooms were lovely, proper beds, there were shared toilet and shower facilities. Toilets are spotless squats, one porcelain, and one plain. The shower room was very large with a reasonable shower, hot and cold water. Jumaboy does do a lovely fish dish, so try and get it if you can; the amount of food on offer is also a real spoil.
We had a twin room with a lockable door; there was one other room also with twin beds in, and one larger room with floor beds. All very comfortable and all very clean and warm.
You can get to this homestay without booking through ZDTA as all the homestays in Tajikistan, just turn up and they will make you a floor bed up as required (very comfy too). Under ZDTA ratings this is a two branch homestay, it is definitely that if not a three star branch in our experience of homestays in this area of the Fan mountains.
