The Perfect Guesthouse Jan 07, 2008
Julie's Guesthouse is a very comfortable young traveler-community guesthouse with a common lounge areae - perfect for young travelers. They offer a warm atmosphere and a fantastic tour agency service. They help you organize cooking classes, massage courses, mountain treks and more. They work on the honor system having you mark down everything you spend. Then, they collect your money at the end. It is hard to get a room here - so just show up and sit around with a coffee until someone checks out! then, grab a room and stay as long as you can! It's the best AND YOU WILL MEET OTHER AMAZING TRAVELERS. Enjoy!

We arrived in Chiang Mai quite late and
headed to Julies Guesthouse, a place we had been told by a number of
people that it was a great place to stay. We arrived around 10.30pm
to be shown to our room by the night guard. The room was quite small,
though it had an ensuite… Smellypants!!! |

In Chiang Mai I headed for Julie's Guesthouse where a single room was available. It's the cheapest room I've ever had: only 90 Baht/night. But you can defintely see that too: walls made from not much more than reed, a rickety bed, a shared bathroom and a 5 cm big gap in my door… Arriving in Chiang Mai |
