Jugendgästehaus Römerstadt Trier

the jugendgästehaus trier - man, it's a great hostel.
it's renewed in 2006 (i guess) and every room has an own bathroom.
the beds are ok and space, what is space in a city like trier. you are only in your room for sleeping.
but sleeping could be a hard thing if you book between monday and friday. because of the tourism, the jugendgästehaus trier is well known as a good accomodation for classes being on a journey. it has 228 beds and at our stay it was "full". the first days with groups of students aged 12 - 16 and from friday to sunday with adultgroups.
the night from friday to saturday was great, there was just silence ;).
the breakfast is ok and all you can eat. the door is publicopen from 6am to 0pm. they have a new doorsystem. no keys, just magnetcards. great for safety!
the staff is very friendly. they have a bistro with cocktails, alcohol, non-alcohol and snacks.
also a billardtable and tablesoccer, flipper and photoplay, tabletennis and airhockey. and they have a beo (bird). his name is bobo and he can speak (even the bad things ;) ).

it is located about 2-3km from downtown trier ( a nice 20-25 minutes walk) right on the river mosel.

outside they have a small kidsplayground, beachvolleyball and a soccerfield, barbecueplace, places to sit outside and a parking lot.
