The Perfect Restaurant Aug 18, 2010
Okay, just to get this off me, I SO love this place. When we entered, I was like "Wow, this place looks posh (like a restaurant in a 5-star hotel)." But let me tell you right away that its look has no bearing on the price of the food which is cheap to average. See for yourself:

The restaurant offers indoor and alfresco dining. If you choose a table inside, don't worry because you'll still have a view of the lake and the volcano through the large glass. The outdoor tables are set so they don't obstruct the scenery.

We had red wine, beer, rice and 4 dishes:

- bulalo (because when we think Tagaytay here, our second thought is this beefy soup.)

- chopsuey

- fried tawilis (a fish which can only be found in the Taal lake; a MUST-TRY!!!)

- lumot inihaw (na pusit/squid)

The fried tawilis didn't look much to make me excited to eat it, but now I'll definitely have it whenever I'm in Tagaytay. It tastes even better with atchara (papaya-carrot appetizer) and spicy vinegar. Two thumbs up for the small fish!!! Another special mention goes to the red wine, Alto Medrano by Filus... Viva Argentina!! :D

Lastly, their service is good. The staffs are attentive and ready to refill your glass or bowl. So perfect overall rating for this restaurant!!
