Jose Estay-Private Homestay

Stayed here in May 2008. Jose is an excellent host and went out of his way to help me to enjoy Santiago. Would definitely stay there again. I stayed in the double room in his house. Close to public transport and the city, plus he has wifi.

I stayed with Jose when I went to Chile in 2002. Although his condo was small, I had my own large room and own bath which was extremely comfortable. Jose was working for the airline I flew in on, was full of all sorts of helpful tourist information and has a great Coca Cola can collection from all over the world. Staying here was nicer than staying in a hotel or a hostel. I really felt like I was a guest of a friend.

I stayed with Jose at some point in 2003 when I was in Chile for the first time.

Jose is an amazing individual and you get to stay with him in his condo. It's a tiny place but you get the feeling you're his personal guest and he does anything he can to accomdate you, give you tips about the city, take you out, whatever you need. Since you're in close quarters it's a good opportunity to meet his other house guests. I made many a travel buddy to romp around with this way.
