Jordan's capital city is the biggest city in the country, but Jordan's main objects of touristic enjoyment are not here. One is the Dead Sea, where the water is so dense with salt that it is virtually impossible to sink. It's a short drive out of the city. The other is Petra in the South of the cou…

Turkey and Jordan Trip - Spring 2008: Jerash Travel Photos

During May/June 2008, I took my first vacation to the Middle East area. Jordan was amazing - I got to see some historical sites such as Petra, Jesus' Baptism site, the Dead Sea and the Wadi Rum Desert. Then we moved on to Turkey where we saw the ancient Nemrut Dagi statues, the ruins of Ephesus, Oludeniz Beach (and some paragliding), Pamukkale white terraces, the famous rock formations of Cappadocia, and of course, the amazing city of Istanbul. The trip exceeded all expectations!
