Johnstons Station Vacation Guide
Johnstons Station is nothing more than a community. A community with deep Southern traditions. Please do not exit at Johnstons Station thinking you will fill up on gas, because there are no stores at this exit, travel on to Summit or Bouge Chitto, MS. There are actually 2 communities that reside in this area, Johnstons Station and the other Johnston Chapel.
Johnstons Station was once the center of activity and commerce for Pike county because this was the Train Station was. But after a large tornado damage the depot, the new depot was rebuilt in neighboring McComb, MS. Other than the old Johnston family cemetery, the now closed Johnston Station school, Johnston Station Baptist Church and the Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church; there are only residences and land at this exit of Interstate 55.
