Amazing and unexpected art collection Jun 21, 2011
The art collection in this museum consists of works donated by the Carrol-Porcynski family to the Catholic Church. The museum looks very old and not very interesting. However, it has an amazing collection with works from many famous painters, like Rembrandt, Albrecht Dürer, Van Gogh, Rubens and many more. This is obviously not the only museum in the world with these kind of paintings, but the good thing about this one is that you are usually practically the only visitor, which means that you'll have all the art for your self. In addition, it is a nice experience to have a lady opening and closing the doors for you and turning on the light in every room, especially when you're used to mass museums like London's National Gallery. As can be expected, the museum is not very expensive either, 15/8 zloty for a normal/discount ticket.
