Johanna Park Hotel Sorrento

My two best friends and I (all 18 years old) wanted to go on a Europe trip before graduating high school. I booked our trip on a bit of a budget so we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Johanna Park hotel. The outside was freshly renovated and a new coat of paint made the place all the more inviting. From the front of the hotel you see a spectacular view of the Amalfi coast. I spent a few nights sitting in a lawn chair in front of the hotel staring out over the Mediterranean. Once I entered the hotel I was warmly greeted by a woman who knew my name and asked how my travel was. We came to call her, "Mama Italia". Our room was a triple. It had a double and twin bed, our own bathroom, a TV, safe, and a balcony overlooking a field of lemon trees. It was perfect for what we needed. In the morning we enjoyed our complimentary breakfasts and headed out for a day of exploring Sorrento. The hotel's bus would take us right into the center of town. The hotel staff is what made the hotel such a great stay. If we weren't planning our day with Mama Italia we were drinking espresso at the bar with Giuseppe. Everyone you bumped into would greet you with a smile and engage you in conversation. We got five star hotel treatment with three star hotel prices. If I ever get the chance to go back to Sorrento I will be checking in to the Johanna Park Hotel.
