Jindrichuv Hradec Vacation Guide

Jindřichův Hradec is a town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 23,000 inhabitants.
It has developed on the historical border between Bohemia, Moravia and Austria. The most significant sight of the town is the third largest chateau complex in the Czech Republic (a unique renaissance castle). It covers three ha and contains 320 rooms. There are more than 10,000 works of art and a similar number of books may be found there. There is also a Rondel, which, thanks to its perfect acoustics, serves as a venue for numerous concerts.

The district museum, which is in a renaissance building that was once the Jesuit seminar appeared in the city in 1882 and is one of the oldest regional museums in Bohemia. The most well-known item in the museum is the Kryza, the largest mechanical Christmas manger scene in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Trebon is in the south of Czech R. and the area is covered with fishtanks which are also suitable for swimming. Many options for accomodation and ways of traveling (you can rent a bike on many places) It's worth going there but don't expect anything posh. There are many old castles in the are which are also worh seeing.
