Jin Ju

Jin Ju is a gem in the midst of a great international food mecca. The decor, dark hard wood floors, small tables placed together in lines or by themselves give it a European feel. Soft light covers the tables as the votive candles are the only source of light surrounding the tables making it a great place to talk and enjoy the incredible cuisine.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly! Follow their suggestions:) Everything we tried was delicious, and we wished that we could go back every night to sample even more of the menu. Those looking for a little spice or some sort of fire to their food, will love the spicy red paste that is included on some of the dishes. The portions are large, so think family style when you are out with friends. Order a variety and share:)

Appetizers: Mandoo, beef-filled dumplings available fried or steamed, served with a soy vinaigrette jazzed up with red-chile flakes (the same sauce enlivens the pajun, a thick scallion pancake), and kim bap te gim, a tempura-fried maki roll of sorts, filled with beef, vegetables and seaweed.

Dak Bulgogi was my favorite dish of the night. Pretty much everything on the menu is something exceptional! Kalbi, or barbecued short ribs, are stacked like cordwood in the center of a lettuce-lined platter; the ribs, served off the bone (a real user-friendly touch) are bite-sized and packed with flavor--though relatively little spice. Fire-eaters will like the o jinga bokum, matchsticks of sauteed squid in a powerful red-pepper sauce. Somewhere in between is the kim chee chigae, an entree-sized soup of cabbage, pork and green chilies.

They have a great wine list as well as wonderful Asian-inspired drinks! Check this place out!
