Jimo Vacation Guide
Jimo is a relatively small city in China's Shandong province, around 45 minutes by road from the country's 8th largest city, Qingdao.
This is certainly not a tourist town - I only know of it because I was working here for 6 weeks teaching English at a summer camp. Apparently, a siege took place here in 279 BCm which finished when a her of oxen were set loose in the streets dressed as dragons by the townsfolk...so there you are, useless fact of the day!
It's basically just an average Chinese town, a few restaurants, many of them street venues, some karaoke bars which sometimes double as brothels, so beware, and the main park, Mohe, which has a number of pretty areas, but this is very much a residential city and nothing else. Sorry!
