The village of Jeravna is sittuated in the East part of the Balkan mountain range, and stands in a green valley along the mountain range. At a population of 500 residence, its a picturesque village with houses over 300 years old. It was named a Natural Architectural Reserve recently as all of the houses have been preserved in a way thatit remains their original face from the period of the Bulgarian revival. In the village center there is a big house that has a pub on the ground floor, and it also serves as a hostel on the second floor. The owner does horseback tours for as long as you like, and takes you camping in the mountain range for as many nights as you request. Through old roads and beautiful homes, its like walking through history.
