Jenny’s Marketplace: Curry and Roti Dec 01, 2012
I visited Jenny’s Marketplace after attending an event at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Midtown Manhattan. Jenny’s Marketplace is a small grocery store that sells an assortment of hot and cold sandwiches and food platters. However, in the store window I noticed a sign that stated that they sell roti: chicken, shrimp, goat and potato. I simple had to stop in at Jenny’s Marketplace and purchase a chicken roti for myself after also observing the NYC Health Department grade of “A” displayed in the window. The service staff was very quick in putting together my roti order and it was a lot of food for $7. The curried chicken was well seasoned, while to the roti was soft and full of flavor. Since then, I have managed to visit Jenny’s Marketplace at least one a month for lunch, and it’s worth the trip.
