Java Station Travel Reviews

Apr 23, 2007
I can't believe I didn't find Java Station any earlier. It is so much better than the chain store coffee shops. I like that they have a fire place, it gives the coffee shop a nice atmosphere, and so do the comfortable armchairs and sofas, it basically looks like someone’s living room (just a bit bigger). I also like that there are antique signs and decorations, like an old Coca-Cola lamp or several old bicycles hanging of the ceiling. Many students seem to hang out there to study or surf the net since there is free internet access.
The baristas are also very nice and polite; there is a huge variety of coffee drinks and smoothies, for which you can combine your two favourite ingredients from a list. Unfortunately, they don't have much choice with their tea compared to other coffee shops; only around 8 kinds and those are mainly black teas. Then after all it's a coffee shop and not a tearoom. :)
They also sell different kinds of cookies, muffins and slices of cake like lemon bread and walnut bread. In additional to that they also offer bagels and homemade sandwiches.
I'll definitely be going back to the Java Station.
