Jasmine Thai Restaurant Amsterdam Reviews
Jasmine Thai Cuisine: Incredible Thai flavours Jan 12, 2009
This was the first place I ate after arriving in Amsterdam on December 30. My friend Toon picked me and a friend for a tour of the Red Light district, we stopped at the Thai restaurant for some hot soup and food.
Typically space is a rare thing in Amsterdam especially in the Red Light district, the restaurant was small but the seating arrangement was comfortable. We were greeted by a pleasant manager who showed us upstairs for seats, we took the table on the right hand corner by the heaters. It was nice and warm after the chilled weather outside. There was a huge writing of the restaurant name on the wall inside. Other decor included great handmade art pieces from Thailand and India.
Agnes and I ordered tea, while Toon ordered a local beer. Soup came next for me and Agnes - a tangy mix of hot peppers, lemon grass, mushrooms and slices of chicken. Very tasty.
Our main meals consisted or chicken mostly: I ordered the cashew chicken with steamed rice, I highly recommend it.
Great place, great atmosphere and above all great tasty food.
