A real treat from Malaga Nov 10, 2010
The garden is reached from malaga by taking a bus number 2 from the north side of the Alameda Principal and then walking for about a quarter of an hour.

When I went it was strictly only open for guided walks. I had a plane to catch and not a lot of time so they let me in with badges on to prove I was a real person. I was glad on two grounds, one the obvious, the other that the tour was in 'machine-gun' Spanish.

Most of the enormous number of plant types were colected late in the 19th century by a Marquess and his wife, They claim to have the world's biggest collection. I am always dubious about that sort of claim but there are certainly a lot and in one area there is a collection of representative trees of all continents.
