Good restaurant with local garlic specialities Oct 12, 2014
N36°59.352' E128°22.087' This famous Danyang restaurant – also known as Doljip Sikdang - moved recently from its sorry-looking building behind former Rivertel motel - now the renovated and renamed Guesthouse Danyang - to a bigger building on the northern outskirts of Danyang opposite the stadium.

Jandari Sikdang serves the local garlic speciality maneul dolsotbap, four types of grain served in a hot earthenware bowl speckled with chestnuts, dates, ginkgo nuts and other goodies. During our visit in August 2014, we choose the locally grown maneul, from which we made a garlic wrap of several ingredients. The garlic used here is not as strong in taste as in Europe. It was very tasteful. Recommended.
