This isn't an actual hotel or hostel but rather a house belonging to
a native of Monterosso. The house belongs to Janet and Marco, a very
friendly couple that took my girlfriend and I in when we arrived in
Monterosso with out having booked accommodation before our arrival.
They charged us just €65 a night which included satellite television(with several English speaking channels), spotless kitchen
(including fully functional fridge/freezer and oven/hob) and
bathroom and air conditioning. They do have the Internet down stairs
which we didn't make use of however I'm sure they would be happy to
let you use it if you needed to. The room is located at the top
level of the house and is spacious with a dining table close to the
kitchen. Upon arrival they give you a key to the house which enables
you to enter at any time you like however they do wish that you are
respectful and quiet after a certain time as they do have children.
They will ask for a passport which they will keep in their
possession until your departure.

Monterosso is a very popular tourist destination for both
international and domestic tourists as many Italians make the trip
there for the weekend. You'll find it near impossible to find
accommodation as cheap as they supply with the standards beating
that of any local hotel.

The house is located literally round the corner from the beach. If
you want to make contact with them before you leave for your trip
their email is: marco.janet@yahoo.com.ph
