Jameson Inn Oak Ridge

This Jameson Inn is one of my favorite budget hotels, for it is truly a step above a budget hotel. The rooms at the Jameson are much nicer and cleaner than many rooms I've paid $160/night for--but you can find a room at the Jameson for only $69/night! Unbeatable value!

The rooms are very spacious--a king room has a recliner, corner desk with office chair, and a 25 square foot open space. Rooms are clean, with soft carpet, great lighting, and well-appointed decor. Beds are comfortable, with firm pillows.

Breakfast is included and is quite good. The mini mini muffins are excellent, but they also have dry cereal, danishes, English muffins, make-your-own Belgian waffles, and biscuits with sausage gravy.

Free wifi in all guest rooms. There is also a guest computer in the lobby. The hotel also has exercise facilities, an outdoor pool, and hot coffee and tea available 24 hours/day.

With regards to location, Oak Ridge is a very small town, and just about any hotel or motel there is "convenient" for wherever in Oak Ridge you're visiting. The Jameson Inn is walking disance (a few hundred feet or less) from an Applebee's, Gatti's Pizza, and three fast-food restaurants. Other Oak Ridge restaurants are only a one-to-two minute drive from the hotel.

The hotel is pet friendly. Front desk staff are polite and helpful. There is usually ample parking, though the parking lot can fill up on busy nights early in the week (Sunday through Wednesday), when business travelers are in Oak Ridge.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Oak Ridge for work. I usually stay for 8 nights, several times per year.
