Tou with canoes including Jems bond island, Panak island, Hong island May 04, 2011
Absolutelly beautiful and stunning sites. The tour we took was very profeesionally organised by Phuket Patri tour. they ahd a big boat to take us to the Phangnga bay and then canoes with experianced guides in them. W@e saw closups of most intereszting sights and clifs and over the water caves.

Panak Island and Hong island are my personal favourites in this trip - because we saw them closeup from canoes. also the bats in the caves. James bond island that could be observed from distance was also very interesting.

Very delicous meal provided on the ship

and also possibility to conoe on our own on the last stop.

This trip was really amazing - everything we could do and see in one day!

Tropical Thailand has the sea, beaches, massage parlours, sea food cuisine and ofcourse the usual trades connected with tourism.Pattaya and Phuket are hot destinations and Aonang and Phi Phi island are off beat places which is fast becoming popular tourist attactions.

Aonang is a small town, a few Kilometres away from Krabi International Airport, where tourism has taken centre stage.Hotels by the beach and dotting all main roads are easy to find at affordable rates offering travel, tour plans to nearby islands.

James bond island is one such attaction. Its a very small island and is so called because it shot into the limelight after the famous Bond movie "The man with the Golden Gun" brought to the fore its natural beauty.

To reach JB island you take a bus to Krabi boat peir(not the ferry point)hop on to a long tail boat which will take you through lagoons, mangroves and a floating village named so not because the island is floating but because it a village built above the waters on stilts. You will time and often pass by mountains among the waters with caves and small beaches.

Jb island is one mass of moutain having two humps and just beside it a pillar rock formation right in the middle of the waters. The mount has a cavern and thats quite an interesting spot too.A natural wonder if you may say so and interesting too.

The island is accessable from only one side and has a pier, first aid centre and a small souvenier market.Enjoy the island by clicking all the way and bargain hard if you want to play the shopping game.

JB island tour as it is populary called is one leg of the package and half a day is wisely spent.

You will surely remember this place whenever the name Jamses Bond,Man with the Golden Gun or Scaramanga crops up in any conversation.
