James Mac Studio Salon Reviews

The best haircut I've gotten in years! Mar 31, 2008
James did a great job on my hair! I'm still getting compliments on it (weeks after cutting it)...it's hard to find a reliable and quality hairdresser in Bangkok, especially one who communicates well. James knew exactly what I wanted. Though you might be able to find a "cheaper" salon in the city, for the little extra that you pay in baht you get a lot more in a good cut and excellent service. I highly recommend this salon, and am seriously considering flying James out to Hawaii to cut my hair when I leave Bangkok! Thanks James and Justin :)

Hello James,

I am in awe at how your salon looks.  I am so happy for you and you are such a great and professional stylist.  I believe you will go far with your passion.

Ok, I know you are wondering how a Salon can be a life changing experience, but I have to assure you, it was for me.  I have never had the benefit of a haircut/color from a master before, but once I did, it really changed me.  It is amazing how much a change of hair can change your outlook.  If you are in Bangkok, and want to get a super star haircut at Bangkok Prices, stop by the Salon.

The James Mac Studio Salon is run by creative director James Mac, a transplant from some of Los Angeles' best Salons.  Motivated to find a place where he could find his own way, James ended up in Bangkok, where he designed and built his own salon from the ground up.  The experience is quite relaxing, and the styling fabulous.

The Salon is located on the grounds of the Oasis condominium and health club.  A giant swimming pool and spa surrounds the approach to the salon, and a pleasant outdoor restaurant and bar is right outside.   The condominium complex is a favorite of international students visiting Thamasat University for a semester, a provide the bulk of the business here.

If you find yourself in Bangkok for some time and want to treat yourself to something special, go to Oasis and get yourself a star quality hair style and relax at the oasis for a day.
