James Hamilton Heritage Park Reviews

Great day out Aug 05, 2008
The James Hamilton Heritage Park is free entry and occupies a 32-acre site and incorporates a 16-acre loch and associated Water Sports Centre. It features a small bird sanctuary and a children’s play area. It has an excellent range of water activities on offer. With the help of nationally recognised qualified instructors, visitors can opt for a number of different pursuits including canoeing, dingy-sailing and windsurfing. Facilities available include: Water sport activities, wind surfing, canoeing, and dinghy sailing, there are also pedaloes for those people wanting to play it safe :). To top it all off there is the Top Deck café which overlooks the lake.

To walk around the lake, I think equates to 1 mile, so you will usually find keen joggers and the odd rollerblader enjoying the scenery!
