Jambo Brothers Bungalows

I stayed there for 10 days. I was at a single room for 20.000 TSH a day (i don't think the prices always are the same ;)) If you are used to be in hotels in africa this was a fine place. I didn't have any hot water in the shower, but it was hot outside, so it was kind of refreshing to take a shower. I had a very big bed, and a very small table, so i had to put my clothes on the floor/in my backpack. The wash your clothes for 500 TSH for each piece (you have to tell them that one pair of socks is one piece!!) The breakfast is okay, but not so much (an orange, a banana, to pieces of white bread and one egg). If you are a lightsleeper, there is a problem; the bungalows are on the beach, so there is a lot of sand, and early in the morning, 4-5am, a lady is cleaning with a broomstick and it makes this loud noise and it's SOOOOOO anoying! If you tell her to stop she just smiles and waves, because she don't understand english.

They don't have any spare keys so if you loose your key (like I did, when my bag was stolen) they have to destroy the lock and kick the door in. = don't loose your key!

It was a nice place, african standard.

ps- bus 116 is back to stonetown and you pay 500-2000 TSH, and the trip is 1-2 hours (not always the same!) There is no ATM in nungwi so REMEMBER to visit an ATM in stonetown!!

pps- Bring your own toilet paper!!

This place is up on the North Tip of Zanzibar Island in Nungwi. It is one of a dozen similar places, all having a dozen or so Bungalos. They all have similar prices, and their restaurants sell similar food, and they are all on the beach, so if you can't find this place throw a rock and you will hit another. Rooms were nice with in room showers, and ceiling fans. Had mosquito nets.
