excellent mexican low cost food Feb 16, 2013
Cafe wasn't look attractive from the road. Also simple look inside. But this probably the best place for mexican food in Coronado area. The place where you can meet just locals.

This place has 50 years history. Jalisco is a state in Mexico. It is located on the central West coast and has a population of over 6 millions. The capital of the Jalisco is the city of Guadalajara, which is Mexico's second largest city. The Jalisco cafe has been located in Imperial beach since the 1940s. It is a family business. Grace Martinez Sumpter and her husband Maston started first mexican restaurant in Chula Vista. Their son Edward carried on the family tradition with the Jalisco cafe. At the Jalisco cafe, the current owners, Alex and Alejandra have continued the tradition of over 50 years serving authentic Mexican food in a friendly, family atmoshere. Tacos, soups are very delicious. The chicken enchilada emolle, the battered chicken tacos both dishes were fantastic. Bill includes 2 glasses of wine is 15-17$
