Have to admit that it was quite weird when I arrived at Jailhouse. It really still looks like a jail. When you enter the building there is a nice reception with adjacent tv lounge and internet access. Then you enter the jail. The rooms are cells with a solid steel door which needs some energy to open and close. The cells are not that big but I felt comfortable. The Kitchen facilities are big and new. The whole building has been refurbished. This is also the case for the toilets and showers, which are available in a great many. The jail is located about 10/15 walking minutes from the city centre.

Even if it's a big city, there are flowers and greens everywhere. Enjoyed my stay and walks I made through the city. Stayed in Jailhouse. Thsi was the a real prison in the past. They still got the rooms as they were used as prison. The whole building has been refurbished. … Garden city - just beautiful |
