Jaco is a rapidly expanding town on the Pacific side of Costa Rica. Home to a large ex-pat community and a surfing culture. If you are looking for a quiet off-the-beaten-track time then Jaco is not it.
A party town with all your modern conveniences, Jaco can make your time in Costa Rica a lively one. Be careful, as Jaco is known to have prostitutes, drug dealers, and other unsavory characters, especially during the busy dry season. Not a place for children or family-oriented adults.
The food and drink options are plentiful. The town is very welcoming in the slow season, especially on a sunny day.
