JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur
JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur Reviews
Another luxury hotel in town May 14, 2009
JW Marriott is located next to Westin; therefore it has a great location to the shopping malls, restaurants and cafes.
They have large room with comfortable bed and clean bathroom, shower, toilet with enough amenities. Their buffet breakfast was a disappointment, not as good as the Westin. Limited choice and their coffee sucks! Don’t even try the coffee, it taste like plain water with coffee flavor. What we usually would do is, have coffee at a proper café, like Starbucks. The toast!! Instead of a proper toaster, they did it on a hot plate??!! I never had toast bread that doesn’t taste like toast at all. If there is an option you can get just room only, that’s probably worth it, have your breakfast else where. The gym is nice though, although we never try out the pool but it looks good to us. Beside the breakfast, the other thing that makes us switch to Westin is the customer service. You may get a “good evening sir” when you check in and that is all you will get. When there were some VIPs stayed with them, the hotel staff won’t even see us. They never remember us although we stayed with them 3-4 times a year for more then 4 years! The room rate is almost as expensive as the Westin but you get better breakfast and feel welcome all the times in Westin. We never go back to JW Marriott ever since Westin had been in business. |

JW Marriot Kuala Lumpur Feb 14, 2009
This hotel is right near the main shopping and business district of Kuala Lumpur, the "Golden Triangle." It is convenient to walk everywhere that is necessary from the hotel.
The rooms are well suited for business and pleasure travelers alike and offer an array of amenities. They are very clean, comfortable, and offer nightly turn-down servive. The breakfast buffet is served daily at the poolside cafe and it is very good. As well, knowing that the Chinese restaurant in the Marriott - Shanghai - is supposed to be the best in Kuala Lumpur, we gave it a try. It was excellent! |
