The Joint Security Area is the only area along the DMZ that gives you the oportunity to cross the border from S. Korea to N. Korea. It was an experience I will never forget. If you get a chance to do the "DMZ tour", jump on it. However, be aware of propaganda. Make no mistake, the two countries have been on the brink of war since the Korea war ended. Tensions are high.
