In a very nice part of the city (Polanco D.F.), this hotel is expertly located, especially for the business traveler. For the tourists, you are very close to Chupultapec Castle, which is one of the premier sights in the city. As my Mexican friend says, the hotel is in the Mexican equivalent of Beverly Hills. As such, you are in one of the safest neighborhoods and a great restaurant is only a short walk away. The executive lounge was recently refurbished and is nice, however ranks in the 80 percentile in my opinion. The food offered is good, but the wine selection is slim and alcohol and beers come at a cost. As always the food in the attached restaurants was fantastic. UPDATE: I just returned from my second stay this year on the D.F. JW Marriott. Once again the report card receives A's. 1 of the 2 attached restaurants had changed formats since my last stay and was actually completely shut down to make room for a new ballroom. They are now down to the one 1st floor cafe. Of note, this hotel has a pretty decent and moderately priced gift shop if you cannot get out and about to shop.
