Ivesley is a four star rated 18th century country house and equestrian centre set in 220 acres of magnificent farmland and countryside. It was originally a hunting lodge and has an avenue of beech trees dating from the 1550s, planted to mark the end of the Black Death of 1348. It is well placed for the rider and non-rider alike. The durham castle is not all that big. If you've been around england then this castle isnt very impressive. However, the environment in which it is set is what makes it unique. Its well kept and extremely picturesque.A good idea for a day outing.… More photos. |
