Ivalo Vacation Guide
Ivalo is a village in Inari Municipality, in Finland's Lapland Province, located on the Ivalo river 20 kilometres to the south of Lake Inari. It has a population of 4,000 and a small airport. 30 kilometres south of Ivalo is a very popular resort named Saariselkä. Many tourists visit this place every year for winter sports (downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, husky and reindeer sledge riding) and for summer activities (trekking and hiking in the Saariselkä fjells, canoeing in Lapland's rivers, mountain biking, panning for gold, fishing, etc.).

One morning left. We went to see the ice hotel and from there it was straight to the airport. The ice hotel was nice to see, but in my memories Finland will always be about Fram, Sky, Dushka and Kablu.........

We could not find a campingplace, so we decided to stay nearby Yli-Kitinen. Just stayed with the tent in the nature. Here were also lots of mosquitoes, they were also in the food. We were happy we had our mosquitomilk with us, so they couldn't find us. More than 100's mosquitoes had surrounded us.
