ALL my travel blogs are a work in progress...excuse the mayhem. I'll figure it all someday:)
Rome was spectacular to see and experience. Wish I'd had more time to explore, albeit still grateful for the chance to go!

After checking in to our hotel, we ended up walking around the surrounding area in search of our first Italian meal. We ended up stopping at a crowded cafe featuring live music. The musician playing music had long, extremely curly hair pulled back in a pony tail and was singing a very interestering and eclectic mix of music in English, including Bob Marley and Barry White songs! He also threw in a couple of Eros Ramazzotti ballads, which made me happy since I had always dreamt of li...

Venice began with an evening meal at a wonderful restaurant in Venice. We took our bus from the hotel to where we could we water-taxied out onto the island. Naturally the dinner was delicious and of course was fish. What else would you eat in Venice. Good wine, good music, and good food.
After dinner, we strolled to St. Mark's Square. The evening stroll made so much sense. No pigeons, less people, and all of the wonderful architecture of the Byzantine Basi...

Today was the official end of classes and the choir concert conducted by the cutest maestro, Nino the chef, and this evening we had our farewell dinner, complete with molto, molto thanks and hand clapping for the amazing people who helped and taught us throughout this fantastic semester!Cena was delicious! Lasagna, Helen's grilled chicken and peppers, plus Helen's TIRAMISU!!! Yum! It's sad that this semester is coming to a close. It's been really fantastic; I've been a lot of places and seen ...

i have been driving from Milan to Bolzano for almost 3 hours, reaching Alpe di Siusu after other 40 minutes.
You need a special permit to go into the Alpi di Siusi Park, one of the
better spot in all europe for walking. No cars, several perfectly
marked tracks, allows you to spend days of wonderfull hiking around
SASSO LUNGO and SASSO PIATTO, the well know dolomites mountains. The
bast track that i advice is the "sentiero augusto", that drive around
the mountains at a constant level aro...
