I make a fixed appointment when in Roma. A small, quiet but central restaurant just behind piazza Navona (ask for bar della Pace and then take the little side street beside). Secluded but near the hustle and bustle of the movida. The owner and waiters really make you feel as if you are part of the f…

BEST PIZZA EVER!!! Near the UC EAP program office, and if there are some of you on this site, you need to know this place. It is near Via di Sant' Ignacio...i just looked at my map and I think the street is Via di Pie Marimo. It is very small, but has the typical pizza sign with the coke…

My daughter and I stumbled onto this wonderful restaurant after a hot July day of sight seeing. The food was wonderful but the owner Ross Bonifaccio made it special. After walking for miles, getting overheated and walking into his restaurant he ushered me into the wonderfully cool lower floor and …

I've been there the day before yesterday, it's been the best place to eat Pizza in Rome.
We even were lucky to come early so we didn't have to wait! Great Pizza and fair prices!

The biggest part of traveling to Italy or any European country is leave the fast food places at home. Sample as much of the European food as you can. Italian pastas are excellent choices in Italy.

I was only in Italy for a week & half and I was only in Rome for 4 days but I believe that their gelato is some of the best I've ever tasted and the cheapest. I mean, for 2 Euro, you get like a lb. of gelato. Even the cones taste good. My favorite- coffee, nutella, pinenut…

We stayed at a hotel near the Accademia and the owner of the hotel recommended this restaurant. This is a small place, with white stucco walls, redwoood trim, white table clothes and cozy feel. The food is reasonably priced but not cheap. If you have been to Venice you know what I mean. Entrees …

This is a nice place to sit and have a drink, snack, coffee or whatever and watch the people walk by with the beautiful backdrop of the Galleria Alberto Sordi housed inside an art nouveau style building. In the early evening there weren’t too many free tables, they’re full with people enjoying …

After 4 years of living/visiting Bologna, just yesterday, I finally went to the beloved Osteria dell'Orsa for the first time. It's great.
Very popular with the locals, but it's also the place where they take their tourist friends. So you'll generally see a few travelers there too (which is great…

This is a really nice restaurant in the Brera area. It's pricey tho, watch out for the additional service charges which add up to 15% of the bill. Worth it tho as a special treat, try the stuffed zucchini flowers. Got to the bar Breara first for an apperitif.

Fantastic authentic Italian food with Mama in the kitchen! Situated in the main square in Montefiascone it is a great place to eat, drink and watch the world go by. There are no menus as such, the available dishes on that day are hand written in an exercise book. Excellent value and very friendly.
