This place is advertised as an international students pub, and it is the most welcoming place for students abroad. The owner, Miki, treats you like family. When we were debating what to get, we were assured by our waiter that he would take care of us. He took away our menu and immediately brought…

Well, let me just say that this became my favorite cafe in the week I was in Florence. If you like coffee, this is THE place to go! It was like they took the Starbucks idea of offering all kinds of choices and tastes and blended it with the European coffee culture. I had something new each time I we…

This restaurant is fantastic and I highly recommend eating here during your stay in Naples- it is an unforgettable experience. For a romantic dinner, I suggest eating on the terrace, which they cover during the winter, but is generally "al fresco" and overlooks the entire Naples Bay and Mt. Vesuvius…

This was some of the best pizza we had in Italy. Da Peppe is a loud, fun place, much like an American pizzeria. They have a varied topping menu and use fresh ingredients. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. I want to go back NOW.

If you want good Chinese food that you miss from the States, you should come here. Fried rice-wise, it is all the same in the Panda Express style, but the entrees are much better here than a lot of other Chinese restaurants. There is a another Chinese restaurant on the next block, DO NOT GO THERE.Yo…

La Casalinga can be hard to find, but it is well worth the search. It opens its doors at 7:00 p.m. sharp, and there is usually a line waiting. Be prompt to get a table, because it's first-come-first serve and they often have to turn people away.
You can't go wrong with any of the offerings in t…

this little hole in the wall shop in the via del pratello opens only a few hours a day. It's run by an older woman and het gigantic daughter. They manually produce superb torellini and other regional specialties tot take away, or eat right there outside the shop.

This is probably one of the best places where we had dinner during our last trip in Italy. Because we had such a dissapointing dinner the day before, we asked for a good place to eat in our hotel. The man at the reception immediatedly mentionned this place. He said, this is simply the best place in …

Great food. Great service. Franco, who is apparently a manager, is hilarious. Other waiter knowledgeable about wine. Very U.S. friendly. Almost all patrons that night were from U.S. Franco included a lone diner, Lainie, with our groups. We attempted to dine outside, but it was too windy. Great wine …

This little gem was reccomended by Claudia (owner of City Lounge b&b). We always stay with her when in Catania.
It's a little hole in the wall near the university. You can almost miss it but, keep looking. It's worth it.
They offer salad, simple pasta with oil, veggies, meat options, and ver…

Ristorante Arnolfo is a very small top restaurant in an old and renovated building in Colle di Val d'Elsa, near Siena. Because they only offer arround 6 tables (for four persons) it is very familiar. The ambience is calm with quiet and relaxing music. Staff is friendly but seems not very motivated s…
